Privacy

We collect what you type into the form and almost nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not advertise to you, and we do not follow you around the internet. This page says exactly what that means, in plain language, because a privacy notice nobody reads protects nobody.

Who we are

Founders Coffee is the Thursday table, and it has been sitting down since 2016. It is a project of Innov8 Global Labs (www.i8gl.com) and The Yellow Door (www.yellowdoor.club and www.yellowdoor.ru), and between them they are the data controller for everything described here.

For anything at all - to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted - write to info@i8gl.com. A person answers, and we aim to do it within thirty days.

What we collect

Four things, and nothing else.

What you type when you take a chair

Your name, your email, and a Telegram handle or phone number so we can reply. What you are building, and what you can offer the table. Which Thursday you picked, whether you took one morning or the four-Thursday pack, and what you chose to contribute. We record that you ticked the consent box and the moment you ticked it, because consent that cannot be evidenced is not much use to either of us.

We do not ask for anything we do not need. Nothing is collected about you beyond what you type.

Somebody else's details, if you give them to us

You can tell us about a founder who ought to be at the table, which means typing their name and a way to reach them. Please ask them first. We will say who suggested them when we get in touch, because arriving unannounced in someone's inbox is rude and they are entitled to know how we found them. If they would rather we had not, one line to the address above and they are gone.

Photographs and what you write about a morning

You can send us a photograph for the archive, and a note about what changed for you. If you send a picture with other people in it, you are telling us you have their agreement to it being published. Anything you send for the archive is meant to be seen; if you change your mind, tell us and we will take it down.

Anonymous page statistics

Every page uses Umami, which we host ourselves. It sets no cookies, builds no profile, and cannot identify you. It records which page was viewed, roughly which country from, and which site sent you. That is why you are not reading a cookie banner.

The Russian pages additionally run Yandex.Metrica, which is a different thing and we would rather say so than bury it. Metrica does set cookies, and we have its session-recording feature switched on, which means it can replay how a visit moved through the page. It is there because it is what the Russian market runs on and because it is the right jurisdiction for Russian visitors' data. The English pages you are reading now do not carry it.

Why, and on what basis

We use what you send us to hold you a chair, to email you the details and a reminder, to let you cancel, and to know how many people are coming so twelve stays twelve. Where the law calls for a basis: it is your consent, which you gave on the form and can withdraw at any time, and our legitimate interest in running a table you asked to sit at.

We do not sell your data. We do not give it to advertisers. We do not use it to train anything. We will not put you on a mailing list you did not ask for, and the newsletter box is unticked until you tick it.

Who else touches it

Only what makes the thing work, and each one is bound to process data only on our instructions:

• the hosting for this site, and for the small service that holds the bookings;
• the database those bookings sit in;
• an email service, which sends your confirmation and your reminder;
• a newsletter service, only if you ticked the box;
• our own contact records, so we remember you next time;
• Telegram, if you talk to us there;
• the analytics described above.

Some of these operate outside Russia, and where your data crosses a border it does so under standard contractual protections or your explicit consent. If you would rather it did not, email us instead of using the form and we will book you by hand.

How long we keep it

Your booking

For as long as Founders Coffee exists, unless you ask us to remove them. One email is enough.

Somebody you introduced

Until we have contacted them and they have said yes or no. If they say no, immediately.

Archive photographs and notes

Indefinitely, because that is what an archive is. Yours comes out whenever you ask.

Page statistics

Aggregated, with nothing personal in it, kept indefinitely.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to get a copy in a portable form, or to withdraw your consent entirely. One email is enough. No form, no fee, and you do not have to explain why.

If we have handled something badly you can complain to your national data protection authority - in Russia, Roskomnadzor. We would much rather you told us first.

Security, and the honest limit of it

The site is served over HTTPS. The booking service holds no card numbers, because no card number ever reaches this site: contributions are settled in the room or through a ticketing service with its own privacy terms.

Your cancellation link is a signed token in a URL, which is what lets you cancel without an account or a password. It is deliberately a soft gate: enough that nobody can guess it, not enough to survive you forwarding the email to a group chat. Treat it like a ticket.

Children

This is a table for people running companies. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under sixteen.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters we will update the date at the top. If the change affects something you have already sent us, we will write to you rather than expect you to notice.
